Spiritual Life
“Not to be served but to serve.”
Our school’s motto reflects the heart of Jesus, and it’s the heartbeat of our community. At Wellspring Academy, spiritual life is not just an add-on – it’s woven into everything we do. From the youngest students to our high-schoolers, we are intentionally forming hearts and minds to know God, follow Jesus, and serve others with love.
Our Spiritual Foundation
We believe in nurturing students through a Christ-centered worldview. Every child is created in the image of God and is called to grow in wisdom, faith, and service. Spiritual formation at Wellspring Academy is about helping students become who God created them to be – disciples of Christ who impact the world for good.
Spiritual Growth Across All Ages
Early Years (Kindergarten – Grade 2)
Children are introduced to God’s Word through Bible stories, songs, simple prayers, and loving classroom routines. They learn that God loves them, hears them, and has a purpose for their lives.
Primary School (Grades 3–6)
Students begin developing a more personal faith. Through engaging chapel services, class devotions, and discussions about Christian character, they are encouraged to explore and live out what they believe.
Secondary School (Grades 7–12)
Teens are challenged to take ownership of their faith. With opportunities to lead worship, participate in service projects, and engage in deeper Biblical reflection, our students are equipped to live as servant leaders in a complex world.
Weekly and Annual Rhythms
- Chapel Devotions (held weekly) are age-appropriate and Christ-centered, featuring worship, Scripture teaching, and student involvement.
- Daily Devotions and Classroom Prayer help students develop habits of reflection and gratitude.
- Spiritual Emphasis Weeks, retreats, camps and service days provide focused times for deeper spiritual renewal and community-building.
- Weekly Scripture Reflections are shared school-wide, offering students, staff, and families a unifying theme or verse to meditate on throughout the week. These reflections encourage personal devotion and often tie into chapel messages or seasonal themes.
Discipleship and Christian Character
Spiritual life at Wellspring Academy emphasizes growing in Christlike character. Through mentoring, small groups, and pastoral care, students are encouraged to walk in love, humility, integrity, and compassion – not just in word, but in how they live.
A Community that Serves
In line with our motto, “Not to be served but to serve,” we offer regular opportunities for students to serve within the school, the local community, and beyond. From food drives to mission trips, our students learn the joy and humility of putting others first.
Partnering with Parents
We believe spiritual formation is a partnership between the school, church, and home. We regularly communicate with parents, offer spiritual resources, and welcome them to participate in chapel services, prayer events, and Scripture reflections shared by the school.
