Upper Secondary

Ages 14-18

A warm welcome to Wellspring Academy Upper Secondary!

At Wellspring Academy, we place God’s word at the heart of all teaching and learning. We believe that we must prepare our children so that they “may be thoroughly equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3: 16-17). In this way, our mission is to educate and equip students to become highly skilled, Godly leaders, and agents of community transformation.

How do you see each student in Secondary?

“We see each student in Upper Secondary as a maturing individual who hungers for deeper knowledge, takes joy in discovery, and intentionally seeks God’s truth in all areas of life. They are equipped to think critically, approach complex problems with discernment, and develop a thoughtful, Christ-centered worldview.”

What do you want each student to learn by the time they graduate?

  • Reach their highest academic potential, recognizing and valuing diverse abilities and backgrounds
  • Grow spiritually through a deepening relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Discover and develop their God-given gifts for meaningful service
  • Be equipped to impact the world for Christ with wisdom, compassion, and purpose

What are the safety and security measures?

Wellspring Academy places the highest priority on student safety and well-being. Our campus is secured with 24/7 security personnel, gated entrances, CCTV surveillance, and strict visitor screening procedures. We provide safe and separate washrooms and hygiene stations for boys and girls.

Trained staff members ensure close supervision during school hours and extracurricular activities. Comprehensive child protection policies are in place, along with regularly practiced emergency protocols, fire drills, and health and safety guidelines. Together, these measures create a secure and nurturing environment where students can thrive, feel confident, and fully engage in all aspects of school life.

What is the school's approach to technology and digital learning?

Wellspring Academy actively encourages the use of technology to enhance teaching and learning. We integrate digital tools and platforms into classroom instruction, allowing both teachers and students to engage in interactive, modern, and effective learning experiences.

Our entire campus is equipped with reliable internet connectivity, supporting access to a wide range of educational resources. To further support student research and digital literacy, our library is fully equipped with laptops and internet access, providing a space for advanced study and exploration. Through these efforts, we prepare our learners to thrive in a digitally connected world.

How does the Secondary support children with special needs?

At this time, Wellspring Academy does not have the specialized resources and facilities required to adequately support students with special educational needs. As a result, we are currently unable to offer tailored services or programs for children requiring such support. We remain committed to inclusive values and hope to expand our capacity in the future to serve a broader range of learners.

At Wellspring Academy, our learning approach is student-centered, encouraging active participation, creativity, and independent thinking. We assign meaningful homework, projects, and hands-on tasks that allow students to demonstrate their understanding through presentations, demonstrations, and showcases.
This approach not only deepens academic learning but also builds confidence, communication skills, and real-world problem-solving abilities—empowering students to take ownership of their education.

How does the staff handle discipline and class management?

At Wellspring Academy, discipline and classroom management are guided by our mission and vision, emphasizing servant leadership, respect, love, and biblical principles. Our approach is rooted in restorative practices that seek to build character and foster a supportive school culture.

Teachers and staff create a positive learning environment by setting clear expectations, modeling respectful behavior, and encouraging students to take responsibility for their actions. When challenges arise, they are addressed with patience, understanding, and open communication, always focusing on guidance rather than punishment.
