Education
At Wellspring Academy, education is more than academics — it’s the shaping of the whole person. Our Christ-centered approach prepares students to excel intellectually, grow spiritually, and engage responsibly with the world around them.
Cambridge Curriculum
Wellspring Academy follows the Cambridge International Examinations Curriculum, offering a globally recognized education framework that is rigorous and designed to challenge students while supporting their academic growth.
Languages
Wellspring Academy fosters multilingual proficiency to prepare students for a global future.
- English is our primary language of instruction.
- Kinyarwanda is taught to honor and preserve Rwanda’s cultural heritage.
- French is introduced as a third language, broadening communication skills and cultural awareness.
Philosophy of Education
As a Christ-centered School, Wellspring Academy desires to value children as Jesus did. We believe that each one is a unique individual, created in God’s image with inherent value, life and purpose and should be treated with dignity and respect. Each student has spiritual, mental, social and physical aptitudes and abilities; which are to be nurtured and developed for the purpose of bringing glory to God through participating with Him in caring for and blessing the world.
We believe:
- All wisdom and knowledge begins and ends in the knowledge of God and His Word.
- God has clearly given to parents the primary responsibility for the education of their children.
- Both the parent and the teacher share an awesome responsibility in the education of the child. Through fulfillment of this responsibility in obedience to God, parents and teachers work together under God’s guidance to educate the child in the teachings of Jesus.
- All the stakeholders at Wellspring Academy (namely CLA, Wellspring Foundation for Education, the Board, Parents and Staff) should subscribe to this philosophy of education. They should see each student as one that God has brought to Wellspring and seek to partner / work with God to nurture the student to their full potential.
We are committed to educating students holistically by integrating Biblical values in the curriculum and demonstrating Biblical values in the culture of the school.
